Six new rooftop bars in the UK and Ireland
Looking for the perfect summer venue for client or team meetings? These six rooftop bars offer views as elevated as your pitches.
Stanley’s Rooftop bar, London

Perched atop Mayfair’s Chesterfield Hotel, Stanley’s is a relaxed rooftop bar inspired by philanthropist and hotelier Stanley Tollman, who liked a nice cocktail and a natter. Laid-back it may be, but smart-casual is encouraged, and reservations are recommended. Signature tipples include apple & cinnamon cognac coolers and white chocolate & roses coffee, and there’s everything from lobster rolls to Neal’s Yard Aged Cheddar Toasties on the menu. And for chilly nights, there’s a retractable roof, heaters and blankets. It’s open Monday to Sunday, 4pm–11pm.

The Brighton Zip Bar + Kitchen, Brighton

At 300 metres long, the Brighton Zip bills itself as the longest zipwire on the south coast. And after – or more likely before – taking that bucket list challenge, it might be an idea to visit the Zip’s own rooftop bar and kitchen for a chug of Dutch courage. Somewhat surprisingly, this is the city’s sole seafront rooftop bar and, as such, offers sweeping views across the famous beach, the Palace Pier and the coastline beyond. Open daily from 10am, it’s an easy-going sort of spot to soak up the sea air and the lingering smell of vinegar. There’s fish and chips on the menu too.

Lefel 6 at Dominions Arcade, Cardiff

Previously the Marco Pierre White Steakhouse Bar and Grill, you’ll find this rooftop restaurant on the sixth floor of Hotel Indigo in Cardiff’s city centre. Dishing up a modern take on Welsh cuisine, the menu includes laverbread ravioli and sewin and shellfish, while intriguing-sounding cocktails include the Merlyn milkshake, Earl Grey lemontini and passion fire.

Claude’s Skyview Bar, Manchester

After retiring from football, former Manchester United captain Gary Neville has become a property developer; and among other things, he now co-owns the St Michael’s development, where you’ll find Claude’s Skyview bar within the same rooftop space as Japanese-Peruvian rooftop restaurant Chotto Matte. Described as a bohemian-chic escape with a Mexican twist and affording 360° skyline views of the city, there’s room for nearly 350 people here in which to sip cocktails or tequila and mezcal, chow down on South American-style sharing plates, and jive to live DJ sets.

Cold Town House Rooftop Bar, Edinburgh

A National Pizza Awards finalist and previous winner of best beer bar at the Scottish Beer Awards, Edinburgh’s Cold Town House rooftop bar reputation precedes it. And following a £500,000 refurb, it reopened in April 2026 with a new terrace layout, bar, and cool interiors. Featuring the city’s first transparent retractable roof, the revamped space, located in the Grassmarket, accommodates 100 guests, who’ll enjoy stunning views of Edinburgh Castle from below, while munching on their stone-baked pizzas.

Díon, Dublin

Located at One Central Plaza, this landmark brutalist building, once the Central Bank of Ireland, has recently been reimagined, and its summit offers panoramic views across Dublin’s fair city, from the Liffey to Dublin airport. Cocktails are a highlight, blending citrus, spice and florals, while the menu delivers a contemporary take on classic Irish cuisine: from oysters and scallops to charcoal-grilled Irish beef. Two semi-private rooms, each seating up to 24, are also on offer.
